Nordic Track Treadmills

If you remember Nordic Track from years ago, they had created the world famous ski machine that simulated cross country skiing. The Nordic Track treadmill is actually manufactured by Icon Fitness the world’s largest manufacturer of fitness equipment. The Nordic Track brand itself represents quality machines and there line of treadmills are no different.

There are many lines of Nordic Track treadmills. They vary in functions and price points but are all very good machines. Here is what you need to know when looking for a Nordic Track treadmill:

Reflex Series

This is NordicTrack’s top line with an impressive feature set including a patented deck that can reduce impact by almost 40%. There are two best selling Nordic Track treadmills available in the Reflex series – The 8500 Pro and 4500 Pro.

The NordicTrack Reflex 8500 Pro has a commercial 3.5 HP motor, one touch incline and speed, for up to 15% and 12 MPH respectively. Included is a heart rate monitor, foldable deck, included iFit module and full color touch screen for interactive programming. The 8500 includes over 20 performance workouts.

The NordicTrack 4500 Pro has many of the same features of the 8500, without the 7 inch display but includes a large LCD screen. Also it is iFit compatible but the module needs to be purchased separately. The 4500 Pro is also slightly smaller, with a shorter treadbelt and a 3.0 HP motor.

Elite Series

These Nordic Track treadmills are for those fitness who demand the very best in their fitness equipment without any shortcuts. The Elite series are loaded with features that runners are accustomed to.

First up is the NordicTrack Elite Pro with a robust 4 horse power commercial grade motor. It features one touch functions for incline (0-15%) and speed (0-12 MPH), is foldable with the lift assist function to easily fold and unfold the running surface. Comes complete with integrated fans for cooling, large Solaris LED display to have you focused on your workout and and the DuraStride cushioning to reduce impact on your knees and joints by over 30%. Add in an integrated heart rate monitor and iFit module with workout cards and have a very complete cardio machine.

The NordicTrack Elite 7500 Pro has many of the same features of the 9500 Pro with a few differences. It has a smaller motor at 3.5 HP and the top incline is 12%. It features iPod compatibility with a deluxe integrated sound system, ifit workout cards compatibility and 35 workout programs. It also has a very attractive display with a 7 inch screen with built in digital tuner so you can watch your favorite shows while you work out.

Incline Series

The Incline Trainers which are featured on the popular reality show The Biggest Loser have a reputation for offering a very intense workout and burning the most amount of calories in the shortest time. All Incline Trainers feature a 40% incline.

The largest and most robust model is the Nordictrack x7i Incline Trainer. With a Commercial Pro 3 HP motor and a reflex cushioning system this is one awesome cardio machine. You can burn up to five times more calories with the 40% one touch incline without the stress on your joints with this cushioning system. It has the Google powered iFit module with built in wireless connection so you can workout with Jillian Michaels and have a 5k race with your Facebook friends. And it has built in Google trails workouts so you can workout at one of the top hiking trails in America. Along with the incline feature the x7i Incline Trainer has an impressive 6% decline. Top it all off with iPod or MP3 player compatibility and premium sound system with a beautiful 7 inch touch screen display.

There are two other Nordic track treadmill models for the Incline series: The Nordictrack X5i Incline Trainer and the Incline Trainer X3 Interactive. The X5i has 2.25 HP motor and the same Reflex cushioning as the X7i on the deck. The X3 has a 2 HP motor and DuraSoft cushioning on the deck. Both models still feature a 40% one touch incline, heart rate monitors, 10 MPH top speeds, iFit interactive and built in cooling. The X5i comes with 18 workout programs while the X3 comes with 9 programs.
